I have spent my whole life helping a wide variety of people in a wide variety of settings. I grew up in the family business helping customers in HVAC repair. Throughout my youth and young adult life I volunteered and worked in drug prevention leading and training other young people literally all around the world in both public and church settings. During and after college I worked in clinical settings for special needs people and in mental health care. During an amazing summer as a youth pastor in 1995 I heard the call to ministry/youth ministry and dedicated the next 2 decades to pastoring youth groups, whole churches and districts and leading a denominational department for community services and disaster response, working closely with the Red Cross, Salvation Army, other non-profits, state and FEMA leadership as communications director and VOAD board member. In 2018 I left full-time ministry and denominational leadership to help my wife follow her culinary dreams in Europe and I transitioned to tech sales in Madrid. Currently I serve as the vice-president of a non-profit in Spain dedicated to promoting healthy and wholistic lifestyle improvement. As part of my work there I do exercise training at a lifestyle center. In my spare time I am a marathon runner with a couple of age group wins at various distances and have the big goal of qualifying for the Boston Marathon.
